Donation Ideas

Thank you for your interest in Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. We take seriously our responsibility to contributors, to those counting on our help, and to God, to be wise stewards of funds entrusted to us. Please know that each gift helps a family in need of decent shelter. Habitat functions solely upon the donations provided them by individuals, churches, businesses, cities, and civic groups. You can donate:

• money
• giving clubs
• a gift in someone's name
• construction and home improvement materials
• Cars for Homes™
• stocks and other assets
• by shopping at Albertsons
• by shopping at Ralphs

Money

Like any charitable organization, Habitat needs financial donations. This money helps us purchase land, supplies, equipment and any labor that isn't donated. All donations are tax deductible.

We gladly accept donations of any amount. Very Large Donations should be directed to our Vice President of Development who can be reached at (714) 434-6200, extension 232. Please ask about special programs that recognize our most generous benefactors.

Giving Clubs

Your membership in a Giving Club will produce the steady source of income so badly needed for planning and building more affordable homes for families in Orange County.

Give a gift in someone's name

Avoid the shopping malls and give a gift donation to Habitat in someone else's name.

Construction and home improvement materials

To reduce building costs, and to stock our ReStore, Habitat relies on donations of tools and construction materials. Our needs range from raw lumber to finished cabinets. We have set up a deconstruction crew for any donors looking to donate items that need to be taken out, whether it's a tear-down or just a remodel. Specific guidelines on what can and cannot be used by Habitat can be found on the ReStore website.

Cars for Homes™

Your vehicle donation can help a family build a home, and the hope of a better life! Car, truck, boat and RV donations help Habitat for Humanity build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. Donate a car, truck, boat, RV or other vehicle to Cars for Homes™, Habitat for Humanity’s official car donation program, by calling 1-877-277-4344 toll free or online at www.carsforhomes.org

Stocks and other assets

You can donate stocks or other assets to Habitat. Anyone interested should call our Executive Director (714) 434-6200 x 220, our controller at (714) 434-6200 x203.

Albertsons Community Partners Card Shopping at Albertsons

Albertsons believe it’s important to be good neighbors and give back to our communities. Did you know that Habitat is in the Community Partner program with Albertsons? Each year Albertsons gives back to the community through people like you using their Albertsons Preferred Savings Card. To participate in this opportunity of giving, please log on and sign up!

Log on at www.Albertsons.com
At the bottom right, click on In the Community
To the right, click on Albertsons Community Partners
Click on Shoppers login or register with your Preferred Savings Card first
Enter your card number (located on the back of your Albertsons Preferred Savings Card)
Enter your phone number, click login
On the “sign post” to the right, click on Find A Partner
Enter the following:

• City: Santa Ana
• State: California

Click on Find Partners
Select Habitat for Humanity for Orange County
Click on Add Selected Partners
Your selection will appear at the bottom of the page
Click on Update Now
To confirm changes, click on the “sign post” My Account

Click on Exit when you have finished!
