The Gomez family
Catalina Gomez is a young woman who would like to provide a better life for her mother, Eva, and her young sister Christine. At the age of 18 she was already living independently and pursuing a college education. At 19, she was able to provide a more stable environment for Eva and Christine, moving them in with her. Eva, Catalina's mother, had brain surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor from her brain a couple of years ago and had to stop working for a year. During that time, Catalina financially supported the family. At the age of 24, Catalina has already achieved two of her life goals, earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and a career with the Child Abuse Prevention Center where she can give back to the community and help transform the lives of others. Now, she can concentrate on providing a stable home for her mother and sister.
The Gomez family seeks a safe and secure home where Christine can grow and pursue her own education and dreams. Catalina says she can't wait to hammer the first nail at her family's new home in Fullerton. "Just the idea of building the home and owning it someday is awesome."
