Last GivingTuesday, our community came together to raise over $30,000 through our virtual build for the Lacy Street project in Santa Ana. While the experience was virtual, the impact was real. Together, we raised critical funds to purchase building materials and watched our Lacy Street bungalow come to life!
This year, we’re excited to announce our next virtual build, this time focusing on one of the three duplexes at our newest West Washington Ave project in Santa Ana.
About the West Washington Avenue Homes
Thanks to our ongoing partnership with the City of Santa Ana, construction for West Washington Ave is set to begin in Spring 2025 and will make affordable homeownership more accessible to Santa Ana’s workforce. Work on these homes already began during our most recent Leaders Build Challenge this spring, where incredible leaders around Orange County worked together to build many of the homes’ frames.
The Washington Avenue project will bring six new homes to the community and provide safe, stable housing to hardworking families. All six units will contain three bedrooms, two bathrooms, ample living space, and an attached two-car garage.
The unique duplex we’re building this GivingTuesday features an ADA-compliant first-floor unit, making it more accessible and inclusive to future Habitat homeowners. Donations to this year’s fundraiser will bring this duplex to life on our landing page.
